Aparna Ramesh

Chief Executive Officer

Aparna Ramesh has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Home Loan Banks Office of Finance since August 2025. Prior to joining the Office of Finance, Ms. Ramesh was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac) from January 2020 to July 2025, where she guided the company’s finance functions and oversaw its information technology function. Prior to joining Farmer Mac, Ms. Ramesh was with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston from 2007 to 2020, where she served in senior finance roles with increasing responsibility, including as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and as Chief Administrative Officer and member of the management committee for the FedNow® real-time payment and settlement service. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ramesh spent 10 years in commercial banking at M&T Bank and Cambridge Savings Bank. She served on the boards of directors of Independent Bank Corp. and its wholly owned subsidiary Rockland Trust Company from April 2025 to July 2025. She also served on the board of directors of Boston Education, Skills & Training Corp. Ms. Ramesh holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, a master’s degree in finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and integrated master’s degrees from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
